Intravenous Sedation

Our office offers our patients the option of Intravenous Sedation.

Intravenous Sedation is injected directly into the bloodstream by a dental anesthesiologist.  Once administered, the effects are immediate, enabling you to achieve a deep relaxation.  Similar to oral conscious sedation, you will likely have minimal or no memory of your procedure.

If you choose the option of intravenous sedation your IV sedation/anesthesia is administered and monitored by a board certified anesthesiologist.  Having an anesthesiologist administer the sedation provides the maximum level of safety for the patient.  Scheduling the procedure using IV sedation may be delayed to accommodate the schedule and work requirements of the anesthesiologist.  This is also the most expensive option.
